Easy Vietnamese Chae Recipe Made with Hojicha Tea
Hojicha Chae (Vietnamese dessert)
A Vietnamese coconut milk based dessert, Chae, is now available with a roasted green tea twist. The unique flavor of coconut milk goes perfectly with roasted green tea!
Ingredients (for 2 people)
- Hojicha (chilled)
- 100ml
- Hojicha powder
- Small quantity
- Roasted tea leaves
- Small quantity
- Lotus seeds (dried)
- 40–50 g
- Boiled red beans (sweet)
- 120g
- Coconut milk
- 5-6 tbsp
- ice
- Appropriate amount
How to make it
1. Boil dried lotus seeds for 15-20 minutes and then remove from the water.
2. Chill the roasted green tea, lotus seeds, boiled red beans, and coconut milk thoroughly. Put finely crushed ice (or shaved ice) into a tall glass, then add the lotus seeds and boiled red beans in that order.
3. Pour in the cold roasted green tea and top with coconut milk.
4. Top with a small amount of roasted green tea powder and roasted green tea leaves and it's done.
