Yamamotoyama Matcha
Yamamotoyama's carefully selected matcha
As a tea shop with over 100 years of history, Yamamotoyama's matcha is made without any compromise, from the selection of tea leaves to the manufacturing process.
In pursuit of the finest matcha flavor, we use only carefully selected tea leaves from tea plantations all over the country.
The tea leaves are carefully cultivated and have a unique deep flavor, rich aroma, and vibrant color.
We offer matcha that is finely textured, smooth on the tongue, and has a refined flavor.

■ If it has a smooth texture
Matcha Yamamotoyama 20g
We carefully select ingredients with excellent taste and aroma and grind them in a stone mill.
It has a vibrant green color and a moderate bitterness and umami flavor. Enjoy it with thin tea.
How to prepare matcha

Pour hot water
Put about 1.5g of matcha into a bowl.
Transfer the boiling water to another container and add about 70ml of water at around 80°C.
*If it's too hot, the bitterness and astringency will become stronger, and if it's too lukewarm, it won't lather well.

#2 Making Matcha
First, move the chasen slowly to mix the hot water and matcha.
Lift the tip of the whisk slightly above the bottom of the bowl, and with a snap of your wrist, move the whisk back and forth quickly and precisely, as if you were writing the letter "M" or the number "ichi." The key is to avoid scraping the bottom of the bowl.

#3 Finishing touches
When fine bubbles start to form all over the tea, slowly move the chasen in a figure-8 motion and gently pull it up from the center.
Please enjoy while warm.

About
Various arrangements
Of course it's delicious just as it is, but we also recommend mixing it with milk to make a "matcha latte" or a matcha soda.
It also pairs well with alcoholic beverages, such as matcha beer or matcha shochu.
