Boxed Sencha
Yamamotoyama's carefully selected tea leaves from various regions are available in palm-sized boxes. These tea leaves are perfect as small gifts.
We have begun selling five types of boxed sencha tea made using carefully selected tea leaves from tea producing areas across the country: "Gogumi Sencha Yamamotoyama," "Kyoto and Shiga Ujicha," "Shizuoka Kakegawacha," "Kagoshima Chirancha," and "Hojicha."
Yamamotoyama's classic blended sencha has a mellow flavor and subtle astringency of the tea leaves. By blending domestic tea leaves grown in different regions, the flavor is uniform, allowing you to enjoy the same delicious taste all year round.
This highly fragrant Uji tea is made by aging the new tea picked in spring until autumn. The tea is made using a method that minimizes steaming, giving it a transparent golden yellow color. Please enjoy the green aroma and mellow flavor.
Kakegawa tea is made from tea leaves picked in Kakegawa city, located in the southwestern part of Shizuoka prefecture, which boasts the largest tea production in Japan. It has the distinctive deep color of deep-steamed tea, and a good balance of umami, astringency, and bitterness, making it an easy-to-drink sencha for anyone.
We use a unique roasting process on tea leaves grown in southern Kyushu. By taking the time to steam, we can reduce bitterness and create a mellow chestnut-like flavor with just the right amount of body.
Yamamotoyama's roasted green tea, which is a blend mainly of Uji tea, is roasted slowly using far infrared rays after separating the leaves and stems. By roasting all the way to the core, the bitterness is reduced and the tea is finished with a fragrant flavor.
