Roasted green tea rice balls
It's very easy, just mix the ingredients together! The crispy texture and roasted green tea aroma will become addictive.
Ingredients (serves 3)
- cooked rice
- 500-600g
- Tempura flour
- 20g
- water
- 40ml
- salt
- 700ml
- salt
- A little
- Hojicha tea leaves
- 1 tbsp
- Eight pieces of roasted seaweed
- Appropriate amount
How to make it
1. Put tempura flour in a bowl and dissolve it in water. Add salt and roasted green tea leaves and mix well.
2. Add salad oil about 2cm from the bottom of the pot and heat to 180℃. Put a generous amount of batter on a brush and drop it into the oil in small amounts. Fry for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
3. Once the rice from step 2 has cooled, mix the tempura scraps evenly into the rice and make onigiri. Because the rice contains oil, if you only squeeze it lightly it will fall apart easily when you eat it. Squeeze it with a little more force.
4. Sprinkle seaweed on top and it's done!
